School Improvement Plans and Initiatives
Literacy and Numeracy continue to be a major focus at Cambridge Street Community Public School. In response to the recent Right to Read report, we are working closely with the OCDSB’s department of Program and Learning Innovation to implement best practice in reading instruction. In addition, we continue to work with the central education team to close gaps in mathematics achievement.
Other Initiatives at Cambridge:
- We house the OCDSB's Student Achievement Through Equity (SATE) Team;
- We host an EarlyON parent and baby support group M-F mornings;
- The Ottawa Public Library Bookmobile comes to Cambridge every Friday afternoon;
- The International Language Program takes place every Saturday;
- We are thankful to host dedicated volunteer readers on a weekly basis.
